broke men vs rich boys

I watched the devil wears prada the other night. nothing else was on...uhh...so...uhh...I just let it play and ended up watching the entire chick flick. the ahhh-mazing film is based around a young RCG (recent college grad) of Northwestern University. basically, over the course of the movie, the main character goes from a slightly rebellious down to earth chick, to this NYC fashionista who doesn't really know how to have fun. she eventually breaks up with her nice guy BF and ends up getting seduced by the older more distinguished globe trotter a-hole.
now as a young homie in the big apple, I can completely identify with this scenario. I mean I don't really have a problem with the ladies cuz I'm sort of the best of both worlds - a fun, nice and ridiculously good looking tall asian, subtly fused with the taste of uber-intelligence and a dash of debonair. but for all those less fortunate nice guys out there who might not have such amazing "game" and the most mullah ($$$), it's kind of hard to grab a great girl when the more seasoned vet with lots of cash can take them anywhere they want to go.
so my question to you is: how does a broke man compete with a rich boy?
