digital game

back to the topic of "game"!!
so i was talking with someone this weekend about how the art of game has totally evolved with new technologies. there is no longer the "booty call", there's the "booty text"...which just doesn't sound right to me, but hey, i've been guilty of it. but maybe that's why i got no game!! hmm...
i still think it's definitely true. i mean if you actually dial a number and leave a voicemail it means something right? it's kind of like writing a hand written letter to someone. people think it's so freakin awesome that you spent the extra time and effort to pick up a pen, when in reality it could have been you're just a complete moron when it comes to e-cards and can't figure out how to register on hallmark's homepage. so how are you supposed to really know?! and what if a person just makes that tiny tiny extra effort to make you feel special just because they know you're going to think it's special? in reality, they're just playing you. it's like buying roses. you're putting that extra effort (in this case it's $$$) to get something you want, when in reality roses means absolutely nothing to that specific situation. so what's the point of roses (other than the fact that they're super expensive)?? i'm not saying DONT GET ROSES for someone you like, i'm just saying that maybe there's something else or extra you can do. that's the tricky thing about human relationships. and i'll be completely honest, the shit is hella confusing!! and the whole wireless communication boom has changed the whole dynamic of how you communicate with someone you dig. i mean, i'm pretty sure it's helped me meet and start relationships with girls. so that leads me to my question:
has new technology helped your "game" (and "game" in general) or hurt it?

its helped me hate on your game.
Simple... If you're smart enough you can base your entire game on "technology". However, if you get sloppy and say leave your phone unlocked or your email open... It can be the quickest game killer known to man, trust me. Damn that Facebook auto-login.
Something that is extremely un-appreciated is constant texting throughout a date. We're all busy and important, I know... and you may think b/c your ringer is on silent or your phone is under the table that it's going unnoticed... but guess what? It just looks shady. Times like that I'm not a fan of new technology. But I won't lie, the booty text makes things way easier than the booty call.
from jade: I think it's hurt the game. It makes people too accessible and therefore they don't censor themselves or take the time to think about what they're saying/doing before it's done. While most people would like to think of themselves as being eloquent and always appropriate, we know that's not the case.
Not only that, but if you make a mistake it's documented in writing indefinitely. Wall posts, messages and texts all have the ability to be forwarded on to multitudes of judgmental friends.
using my iphone on the public trans in SF has started several conversations with honey dips
It's great. Cybersex has eliminated the need for human contact, which was always kinda awkward. I can mack on like ten different hot girls at once in a chatroom, and they'll never find out!!!
